Shawntel Landry, Ed.D.

Chief Academic Officer

As Chief Academic Officer at Vocate Education Solutions (VES), Dr. Shawntel Landry leads the academic strategy that drives program quality, innovation, and student success across Vocate’s education network. A seasoned higher education executive, she is recognized for achieving significant enrollment growth and industry-leading student retention and graduation rates.

Before joining Vocate she was Chief Academic Officer at Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA), where she strengthened academic outcomes, program integrity, and institutional effectiveness across UMA’s online and campus programs.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Landry served as Chief Executive Officer of Hope Education Group, a consulting firm specializing in higher education accreditation. She served as President of American College of Education (ACE), an accredited online higher education institution. During her tenure, she led ACE to become Indiana’s first institution recognized as both a Certified Benefit Corporation (B Corp) and a Public Benefit Corporation. Under her leadership, enrollment expanded from 1,000 students in two programs to more than 8,000 across over 70 online degree-granting programs. ACE earned multiple honors for workplace flexibility and employee satisfaction—including six consecutive Best Places to Work in Indiana awards—and was recognized by Newsweek in 2022 as the second-best online provider of education in the U.S.

Dr. Landry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Gifted Education from the University of Louisiana–Lafayette. She earned an MBA and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas Christian University, and completed post-graduate coursework at Southern Methodist University and the University of Connecticut, along with executive leadership programs at Harvard University, Wharton, and Cornell.
